Ryan Freeman

Founder - Drums/Bass Instructor

Ryan is our founder and owner, as well as a multi-talented instructor and recording engineer. Whether it’s drum lessons, bass guitar lessons or recording lessons, his students all agree…they love their teacher! He began playing drums and bass at 9 years old under the careful instruction of his dad (a killer musician and a great producer). He graduated from SAE Institute in Nashville, TN with a degree in recording arts, and worked on Music Row before returning to Indianapolis to start The Launch Pad. He has shared the stage with well known worship leaders, blues musicians, and a laundry list of local indie and rock groups. As an instructor, he reaches students by focusing on their own goals and offering consistent encouragement. Whether you are the next big drummer, bassist or recording engineer, you have found the right guy to take you there!

Grant Tyler

Guitar/Piano Instructor

Grant is a seasoned multi-instrumentalist that loves teaching! He’s a classically trained pianist that thrives in modern day pop songs, a guitarist that can play everything from Dave Matthews Band tunes on an acoustic to classic rock and country on electric, and a rock solid drummer. He has a ton of experience writing songs and producing music in the studio as well! If you’re a beginner trying to figure out which instrument might be right for you, or a bedroom musician looking to go from good to great, Grant is the right instructor for you!
